Choice Privileges, the loyalty program of Choice Hotels International, is set to launch an all-new rewards experience in early 2026 that promises members more benefits, more often. The updated program will deliver milestone rewards every five qualifying nights, faster access to Elite tiers, and a new top-tier Titanium status with highly exclusive redemption advantages. Members will also see added flexibility through new ways to earn and keep status, enhanced recognition for frequent guests, and upcoming options for sharing points with friends and family. The changes build on recent enhancements to the program and aim to make Choice Privileges a central part of every stay across the company’s global portfolio.

At the heart of the refresh is a new milestone structure that awards members with benefits such as bonus points and gift cards every five qualifying nights between status tiers, creating more frequent touchpoints and reasons to stay engaged with the program. Elite status will be easier to reach, with Gold Elite beginning at 5 nights, Platinum Elite at 15 nights, and Diamond Elite at 35 nights, each tier now requiring five fewer nights than before. Members will also be able to accumulate Elite Qualifying Credits not only through hotel stays but also through everyday spending on the Choice Privileges Mastercard, including purchases in categories such as travel, home improvement stores, grocery stores and gas stations, allowing them to climb tiers more quickly and enjoy benefits like room upgrades, preferred parking and Elite welcome gifts.

A major highlight is the introduction of Titanium status, a new top tier that starts at 55 nights or 110,000 Elite Qualifying Credits. Titanium members will gain access to the Titanium travel award, which allows booking one room for up to seven nights at more than 400 premium properties worldwide for half the usual points cost. Eligible destinations will include upscale brands such as Cambria Hotels and Radisson Blu, along with partner properties from Bluegreen Vacations, significantly increasing the value potential of high-frequency stays. Complementing this, the new Return and Earn feature will grant members 1,000 bonus points after both their second and third qualifying stays each year, rewarding travelers early in their annual travel cycle rather than only at high thresholds.

The program’s redesign also emphasizes long-term recognition and flexibility. Points will no longer expire for Elite status holders, reinforcing the value of sustained loyalty, while a status soft-landing mechanism from 2027 will ensure Elite members who travel less frequently will drop only a single tier per year instead of losing their level entirely. Later in 2026, members will gain the ability to share points with friends and family, expanding the ways in which rewards can be used and enjoyed across households. These shifts reflect Choice Privileges’ focus on making loyalty benefits more accessible and aligned with how travelers actually earn and redeem rewards.

The new experience builds on improvements introduced in early 2025, when Choice Privileges rolled out a more competitive redemption structure, an extended booking window and additional options for using points. Those enhancements helped earn the program recognition as the top hotel rewards program by outlets such as U.S. News & World Report and WalletHub, and the upcoming changes are intended to further strengthen its positioning. According to Nandika Suri, Vice President, Loyalty at Choice Hotels International, the updated design is rooted in traveler research and aims to make rewards both richer and more attainable, catering to guests planning everything from family road trips to upscale beach getaways.

Noha Abdalla, Chief Marketing Officer at Choice Hotels International, underlines that the revamped program is meant to complement evolving travel habits, offering more flexible ways to redeem points and easier access to the company’s global portfolio. With over 7,000 properties in 46 countries and territories, the group spans budget-friendly brands like Quality Inn and Comfort, elevated offerings such as Cambria and Radisson Blu, and partner access to luxury hotels through Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Beyond hotel nights, Choice Privileges members can redeem points for experiential rewards, including VIP access to college sports events and NASCAR experiences, reinforcing the idea that the program is designed for more than just accommodations.

Enrollment in Choice Privileges remains free and open to all travelers, who can sign up online and position themselves to benefit from the expanded rewards structure when it launches in early 2026. As the program evolves, the overarching objective is clear: to provide a loyalty experience that feels more generous, more flexible and more closely aligned with the diverse ways guests travel today.
