Crowne Plaza to enter Multan with 200-key hotel in Dha, opening in early 2028
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement to bring Crowne Plaza to Multan, marking the premium brand’s first address in the historic southern Punjab city. Set within DHA Multan as part of the landmark Serene Tower development, the 200-key Crowne Plaza Multan is slated to open in early 2028, reinforcing IHG’s push into high-potential urban centers across Pakistan. The site fronts Bosan and Mattital Roads for strong regional connectivity and is positioned to serve corporate travel, MICE demand and the city’s growing golf, education and healthcare tourism segments. The project extends a global network of more than 415 open Crowne Plaza hotels with nearly 150 in the pipeline.
The signing, with Serene Tower (PVT) Ltd., situates the hotel inside a master community that includes upscale residences, extensive commercial space and a PGA-approved world-class golf course, creating a diversified demand base year round. Guest facilities will include modern rooms and suites, all-day dining, flexible meeting spaces, a fitness centre and a swimming pool, aligning with the brand’s ethos of balancing work and life. Named leaders attached to the agreement include Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, IHG Hotels & Resorts – India, Middle East & Africa, and Tahir Nawaz, Chairman, Nawaz Group of Companies, the ownership group behind Serene Tower.
By anchoring in DHA, Crowne Plaza Multan taps a district that blends residential vibrancy with improving infrastructure and access to Multan’s cultural core.
