Eco Hotels expands in Maharashtra with Eco Satva Shirdi
Eco Hotels & Resorts Limited has expanded its portfolio with the launch of Eco Satva Shirdi, a 58-room hotel in one of India's leading pilgrimage destinations. Located in Shirdi, Maharashtra, the property strengthens the company's presence in the state while supporting its wider strategy of targeting pilgrimage, leisure and business markets with sustained travel demand. With the new hotel, Eco Hotels has surpassed 280 operational rooms. Further additions planned in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Ayodhya are expected to take the portfolio to approximately 350 rooms ahead of Diwali.
Located on Nagar Manmad Road in Nimgaon Korhale, Eco Satva Shirdi has been developed primarily around the substantial year-round visitor demand generated by Shirdi's importance as a spiritual and pilgrimage destination.
The hotel features 58 rooms alongside a range of leisure and dining facilities. A swimming pool adds a recreational element to the property, while food and beverage has been developed as an important part of the guest experience.
Dining options include Sahar, the company's pure vegetarian Satvik restaurant, together with a rooftop restaurant and bar and EcoSip Café. The hotel also offers Pan Asian and Continental dining options, creating a broader culinary choice for guests visiting the destination.
The property reflects Eco Hotels & Resorts' strategy of identifying markets with strong and consistent accommodation demand and developing hotels tailored to the specific characteristics of individual destinations. Pilgrimage tourism forms an important part of this approach because destinations such as Shirdi can generate travel throughout the year rather than depending primarily on seasonal leisure demand.
The company also sees opportunities emerging from Shirdi's developing economic profile. The Government of Maharashtra's plans for a new MIDC are expected to contribute to increased business activity in the region, potentially adding corporate demand to the city's established religious tourism base.
According to Vinod Kumar Tripathi, Executive Chairman of Eco Hotels & Resorts Limited, Shirdi offers significant potential as both a pilgrimage and tourism destination. The company intends to build its position in the market through comfortable accommodation and differentiated food and beverage concepts while creating a scalable operating platform capable of supporting further portfolio growth.
Vikram Doshi, Director Finance and CFO of Eco Hotels Group, also sees the combination of spiritual tourism and developing economic activity as supportive of the hotel's performance, with the potential to strengthen both occupancy and average room rates.
Eco Hotels already has further expansion planned in the coming weeks. A 52-room property in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar is scheduled to join the portfolio in October, while a 16-room boutique hotel in Ayodhya is expected within the next 45 days.
These additions are projected to increase the company's portfolio to approximately 350 operational rooms before Diwali. The expansion demonstrates Eco Hotels' focus on building a diversified network across high-potential pilgrimage, leisure and business destinations.
With Eco Satva Shirdi, the company adds another strategically located hotel to its growing Indian platform while strengthening its exposure to a market supported by both established pilgrimage traffic and emerging commercial development.
