Fairmont Golden Prague, the latest addition to Accor’s global luxury portfolio, has opened its doors following a multi-million-euro renovation that breathes new life into one of the Czech capital’s most iconic buildings. Originally designed in 1974 by renowned Czech architect Karel Filsak in a striking brutalist style, the structure has been meticulously restored and reimagined by architect Marek Tichý. The project merges architectural preservation with modern luxury, reviving its original design elements such as glass chandeliers, gilded fixtures, and ash wood details.

The hotel offers 320 elegant guestrooms, suites, and serviced residences. The interiors are inspired by Czech craftsmanship, combining warm woods and Czech glass artistry with calming contemporary aesthetics. This approach results in a harmonious blend of traditional influences and modern sophistication, creating a serene haven for international travelers.

Fairmont Golden Prague boasts six diverse culinary destinations. Zlata Praha rooftop restaurant delivers upscale dining with panoramic views of the city, while Golden Eye offers a modern Asian menu in a 1970s-inspired setting. In the lobby, Coocoo’s Nest serves as a cultural meeting point for coffee, cocktails, and casual fare. For a more traditional experience, Greenhouse celebrates Czech beer culture with pilsners and dishes cooked on a Josper grill.

The hotel is also home to one of the country’s most significant art collections, showcasing a mix of Czech works from the 1960s to today. Notable features include René Roubíček’s floral-inspired chandeliers and Čestmír Kafka’s gilded ceiling sculptures, which reinforce the property’s position as both a luxury hotel and cultural destination.

Guests seeking wellness and relaxation can enjoy the 1,400-square-meter Fairmont Spa & Wellness center. Facilities include five treatment rooms, three saunas, a steam bath, an indoor-outdoor L-shaped pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The spa offers tailored treatments that blend natural elements with modern therapies for a holistic experience.

For those seeking added privacy and personalized service, the Fairmont Gold experience provides a “hotel within a hotel” concept, featuring a private check-in, exclusive lounge, and curated culinary offerings throughout the day.

Fairmont Golden Prague also includes versatile event facilities such as a 600-square-meter ballroom and three rooftop boardrooms with private terraces, ideal for corporate gatherings or private celebrations.

With the opening of this landmark hotel, Fairmont continues its expansion across Europe, joining a prestigious lineup that includes The Savoy in London and Fairmont Le Montreux Palace in Switzerland. The Golden Prague property reflects the brand’s dedication to heritage, innovation, and timeless elegance, further strengthening Fairmont’s presence in culturally rich destinations worldwide.
