Hilton Unveils LivSmart Studios - a New Extended-Stay Hotel Brand
Hilton has introduced LivSmart Studios by Hilton as its latest extended-stay hotel brand, specifically designed for guests with stays of 20 nights or more. The brand has garnered significant interest within just six months of its announcement, with over 350 deals in various stages of negotiation. Construction has already commenced on the first LivSmart Studios property in Kokomo, Indiana, highlighting the brand's swift development.
LivSmart Studios by Hilton joins Hilton's portfolio of 22 brands, focusing on providing a reliable and consistent foundation for long-stay guests. Chris Silcock, President of Global Brands and Commercial Services at Hilton, emphasizes the brand's innovation to cater to the evolving needs of travelers. The extended-stay segment, valued at $300 billion, is deemed ripe for LivSmart Studios' entry, with the brand addressing the distinct needs of long-term guests.

The LivSmart Studios hotels aim to fill a void in the market by offering essential amenities for a superior long-term stay experience. Three key elements define the brand:
1. Deliberate Design: The hotels feature warm wood tones, a modern farmhouse-inspired palette with industrial touches, outdoor patios with grills, a communal fire pit, and comfortable seating, creating a homely ambiance.
2. Spacious Studio Apartment-Style Accommodations: Thoughtfully crafted suites offer adaptable layouts, spacious bathrooms, ample storage, efficient closet design, and movable, multi-purpose furniture. Fully equipped kitchens include a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a two-burner stovetop.
3. Nontraditional Lobby Experience: The hyper-functional lobby ensures clear sight lines from the front desk to fitness and laundry areas, along with a simple retail market. This design aims to create a safe and welcoming environment for long-stay guests.
LivSmart Studios by Hilton will be part of Hilton Honors, the company's loyalty program, offering members various benefits such as flexible payment options, exclusive discounts, free Wi-Fi, and access to the Hilton Honors mobile app. The groundbreaking of the brand's inaugural hotel in Kokomo, Indiana, signifies the beginning of LivSmart Studios' entry into the market, with an expected opening by late summer of 2024.
