Hyatt Hotels Corporation has completed the acquisition of the "me and all hotels" brand, previously owned by Lindner Hotels AG. The "me and all hotels" brand is known for its unique blend of local culture and modern design, appealing to travelers seeking authentic and immersive experiences. This acquisition will add six hotels to Hyatt's portfolio, located in key cities across Germany, including Düsseldorf, Hanover, Kiel, Mainz, and Frankfurt and new builds in such destinations as Berlin (slated to open in 2024), Hamburg, Leipzig and Stuttgart (all expected to open in 2026).
In a statement, Hyatt's President and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Hoplamazian, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition: “The addition of the 'me and all hotels' brand will significantly enhance our lifestyle offerings and support our growth strategy in Europe.” He highlighted the brand's focus on community and connectivity, which aligns with Hyatt's commitment to creating meaningful experiences for guests.
Hyatt aims to leverage the strengths of the "me and all hotels" brand to offer distinctive, localized experiences that resonate with today's travelers. The acquisition also includes two new properties currently under development, further expanding Hyatt's footprint in the region. These new properties are expected to set new standards in the lifestyle hotel segment with their innovative design and vibrant community spaces.
This strategic acquisition follows Hyatt's recent efforts to grow its lifestyle and independent hotel collections. By integrating "me and all hotels" into its portfolio, Hyatt is poised to strengthen its position in the competitive hospitality market and attract a broader audience of discerning travelers. The move is part of Hyatt’s larger strategy to diversify its offerings and meet the changing demands of the hospitality industry, which increasingly values unique and personalized guest experiences.
Additionally, the "me and all hotels" brand’s emphasis on sustainability and local engagement is in line with Hyatt’s global sustainability initiatives. Guests can expect to see enhanced eco-friendly practices and a deepened connection with local communities at these properties. This acquisition marks another step in Hyatt’s commitment to responsible growth and creating value for its guests, colleagues, owners, and shareholders.
