IHG expands in Menorca with Hotel Indigo Menorca
IHG Hotels & Resorts is strengthening its presence in Spain with the introduction of Hotel Indigo Menorca, the first of the brand in the Balearic Islands. Set to open in summer 2026, this 75-key property will offer travelers an immersive and locally inspired experience in one of the Mediterranean’s most serene destinations.
Located in Mahón, the island's capital, Hotel Indigo Menorca is designed to reflect the authentic character of Menorca. The hotel will offer stunning views of the port, private terraces in every room, a sea-view restaurant, a stylish bar infused with local flavors, and an outdoor pool—all thoughtfully curated to create a refined yet relaxed atmosphere.
The hotel’s prime location places guests at the heart of Menorca’s vibrant cultural and artistic scene, with Isla del Rey and the renowned Hauser & Wirth art center just moments away. Additionally, Es Castell Marina, a lively waterfront area known for its charming restaurants and bustling nightlife, is within walking distance, providing a seamless blend of leisure and exploration.
This project aligns with IHG’s strategic expansion in Spain, where it currently operates 57 hotels and has 15 more in development. Hotel Indigo Menorca joins a growing list of Luxury & Lifestyle properties in the Balearics, complementing Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, Vignette Collection Mallorca, and Six Senses Ibiza.
By bringing the Hotel Indigo experience to Menorca, IHG aims to deliver a unique, neighborhood-inspired stay that captures the essence of the island, offering guests not just accommodation, but a true sense of place.
