IHG Launches ‘Masarona by IHG’ to Develop Saudi Arabia’s Future Hospitality Leaders
IHG Hotels & Resorts has unveiled Masarona by IHG, a flagship talent development program aimed at cultivating the next generation of Saudi hospitality leaders. The initiative, whose name means “Our Pathway” in Arabic, reflects IHG’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and strengthening the Kingdom’s position as one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism hubs.
The program arrives at a time when Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector is undergoing rapid expansion, driven by its youthful and ambitious workforce. With nearly 50% of IHG’s current workforce in the Kingdom already made up of Saudi nationals, Masarona by IHG will accelerate leadership development by providing structured career pathways and opportunities for professional growth. The initiative will offer four distinct routes, from entry-level colleagues to senior leadership roles, combining accredited academic learning, hands-on training, and mentorship from IHG’s global leadership team.
In addition to local training, the program will incorporate cross-exposure opportunities across IHG’s worldwide portfolio, enabling high-potential candidates to gain international experience. This approach is designed to build versatile leaders capable of driving hospitality excellence both within Saudi Arabia and beyond. The initiative complements IHG’s broader learning ecosystem, including IHG University, IHG Academy, and global leadership initiatives such as Journey to GM, RISE, and Ascent.
