IHG signs Holiday Inn Goa Kadamba for Panaji
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with NCPL to develop Holiday Inn Goa Kadamba, further expanding its footprint in one of India’s strongest leisure destinations. The 100-key hotel is scheduled to open in Q1 2030 and will add to IHG’s growing presence in key Indian resort markets. Located in Kadamba, Panaji, the property is being positioned to serve both leisure and business travellers throughout the year. The signing also strengthens the reach of the Holiday Inn brand in a market supported by strong tourism demand and improving connectivity.
Set in Panaji, Holiday Inn Goa Kadamba will place guests close to some of the city’s best-known attractions, including the Fontainhas Latin Quarter, the Mandovi River Promenade and Dona Paula. The hotel will also be near the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Churches and Convents of Goa, giving it a strong location for travellers looking to combine coastal appeal with the region’s cultural heritage. In the announcement, Sudeep Jain linked the project to IHG’s strategy of expanding in high-potential leisure markets across India, while Miket Kankia highlighted Panaji’s role as both a cultural and administrative hub, reinforcing the destination’s appeal for new hospitality development.
The future hotel is planned with a broad range of facilities designed to support multiple segments of demand. According to the release, Holiday Inn Goa Kadamba will include five food and beverage outlets - an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, bar, lobby lounge and pool bar - alongside three meeting and event spaces, including a ballroom. A swimming pool, fitness center, spa and ample parking are also part of the project, supporting its positioning as a full-service hotel for both holidaymakers and corporate guests. The signing comes as IHG continues to scale in India, where it currently operates 51 hotels across six brands and has a pipeline of 89 more properties due to open over the next three to five years.
