IHG to Launch Holiday Inn Siliguri in 2027, Expanding Presence in Eastern India
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Holiday Inn Siliguri, marking a significant step in its strategy to grow across high-potential secondary markets in India. The 111-key property, set to open in 2027, will be developed in partnership with Four Vedas Hotels & Resorts Private Limited, a joint venture of Kaysons Group, Sagar Group, and Golden Goenka Group. Positioned at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, the new hotel will serve the growing mix of business, leisure, and MICE demand in the region.
Siliguri is a key gateway for North-East India, acting as a commercial hub and trade corridor with Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. This strategic location has driven strong demand for international-branded hotels, and the new property aims to capture this with a blend of modern amenities and trusted hospitality. The hotel will showcase the Holiday Inn Open Lobby concept, creating a versatile hub for dining, working, and relaxation.
Holiday Inn Siliguri will feature 111 rooms, three dining options, two adaptable meeting spaces, and a fitness centre. Its central city location makes it well-positioned to attract corporate travellers, MICE events, and tourists exploring the Himalayan foothills. With over 1,200 Holiday Inn properties globally, the brand continues to evolve with next-generation standards tailored to today’s traveller needs.
This development further strengthens IHG’s mainstream portfolio in India, where it already operates 51 hotels under six brands, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express. With a pipeline of 72 upcoming properties in the next 3–5 years, IHG is reinforcing its commitment to growth in the region.
