InterContinental Hotels & Resorts to Debut in Ecuador with Guayaquil Property
IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to introduce its flagship luxury brand to Ecuador with the 2027 opening of InterContinental Guayaquil. Developed in partnership with BPO Consulting, this will be the first InterContinental Hotels & Resorts property in the country, located in the exclusive Samborondón district of Guayaquil.
The hotel will feature 101 rooms, including 11 suites and a Presidential Suite, with designs inspired by the region’s natural beauty and delivered by SEMAICA, ODD Architects, and Adriana Hoyos Design Studio. Guests will enjoy a skyline-view restaurant, rooftop pool, spa, and 610 square meters of meeting space. The property will also include a Club InterContinental lounge, enhancing its appeal to both leisure and business travelers. Positioned near premium shopping, dining, and corporate hubs, and with close proximity to the international airport, InterContinental Guayaquil is poised to become a key luxury destination in Ecuador.
