Lemon Tree expands pilgrimage presence with Keys Lite signing in Kartarpur
Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has signed Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels, Kartarpur, Punjab, further strengthening its growing footprint in Punjab. The franchised property will add a compact, value driven option for both business and leisure travellers in a city known for its handcrafted wooden furniture market and spiritual appeal. Featuring 47 rooms alongside core lifestyle amenities, the hotel is positioned to deliver a fresh, vibrant, and value driven stay experience in line with the Keys Lite brand. The signing also supports the group’s strategy of deepening its presence in key pilgrimage and regional markets across India.
Located in Kartarpur, a city renowned for its extensive furniture market and proximity to Radha Soami Satsang Beas, the new Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels, Kartarpur, Punjab is designed to appeal to guests combining spiritual travel, regional business and short leisure breaks. Its setting near a major centre for peaceful, community focused gatherings reinforces the brand’s intention to expand its pilgrimage oriented portfolio while remaining relevant to a wider tourism base shaped by rich cuisine, culture and growing hotel infrastructure. The hotel will offer 47 thoughtfully designed rooms, a restaurant, a banquet hall, a conference hall and a fitness centre, ensuring it can host everything from small social events to intimate corporate meetings alongside regular overnight stays.
Accessibility is a key strength of the upcoming property. Adampur Airport, Jalandhar is located approximately 31 kilometres away, while Kartarpur Railway Station lies about 4 kilometres from the hotel, supported by good road connectivity for both public and private transport. This combination of regional air and rail links, together with accessible road travel, is expected to make the hotel a convenient base for guests arriving from across Punjab and neighbouring states.
By adding Kartarpur to its network, Lemon Tree Hotels continues to consolidate its presence in Punjab, a state that the company identifies as a magnet for travellers driven by spiritual journeys, vibrant tourism and distinctive local flavours. The group already counts two operational hotels in the state, with nine more under development, and the new Keys Lite signing aligns with its asset light approach of franchising and managed contracts. According to Vilas Pawar, CEO - Managed and Franchise Business, the Kartarpur project reflects a focused effort to grow in destinations that combine spiritual resonance with strong visitor potential, enabling the brand to deliver reliable, mid scale hospitality in markets where quality accommodation demand is rising steadily.
