Lemon Tree grows footprint in Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh with dual signings
Lemon Tree Hotels Limited is extending its presence in India with the signing of two new properties in Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The 90 key Lemon Tree Resort, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh and the 72 key Lemon Tree Hotel, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh will both operate under management by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, the group’s wholly owned subsidiary. Together, the signings strengthen the brand’s mix of leisure and business destinations while reinforcing its focus on fresh, vibrant and value driven hospitality. The new hotels also underline the company’s confidence in emerging coastal and industrial hubs that offer diversified demand.
Set in a serene coastal town, Lemon Tree Resort, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh will bring the brand’s resort offering to a destination known for its peaceful Suryalanka Beach, old world charm and relaxed pace of life. Bapatla is positioned as a sea facing escape for guests looking to slow down without straying too far from key urban centres in the state. The resort will feature 90 rooms along with a restaurant and bar, giving guests a choice of casual dining and evening social spaces. Banquet and meeting facilities will support intimate gatherings, while a swimming pool, spa and fitness centre will cater to guests seeking a holistic leisure experience by the coast. With this resort, Lemon Tree Hotels amplifies its presence in Andhra Pradesh, where the company already counts multiple operational and pipeline properties.
In central India, Lemon Tree Hotel, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh marks the brand’s first entry into Chhattisgarh and extends its reach into a city that blends industrial might with leafy residential neighbourhoods. Known as the Steel City of India, Bhilai is closely associated with the iconic Bhilai Steel Plant, which has long symbolised progress and modernisation in the region. The 72 key hotel is designed to serve both corporate travellers connected to the industrial and commercial ecosystem and leisure guests visiting the city and its surroundings. Planned facilities include a restaurant, banquet space and meeting room that will make the hotel suitable for corporate events, social functions and smaller conferences, supported by a swimming pool and spa that enhance the overall guest experience.
Both properties will be overseen by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, ensuring consistency with Lemon Tree Hotels’ operating standards while allowing each hotel to respond to the character of its local market. The signings align with the group’s strategy of building scale through an asset light model and focusing on locations that combine commercial potential with distinct destination appeal. In Andhra Pradesh, the new resort adds to a portfolio that now includes six operating hotels and three upcoming projects, while the Bhilai signing establishes the first foothold for the brand in Chhattisgarh. For Lemon Tree Hotels, these additions reflect a wider ambition to be present across India’s spiritual, nature led, and industrial corridors, delivering trusted mid scale hospitality wherever demand is growing.
