On April 8, 2025, Lemon Tree Hotels confirmed the addition of a new property in Siliguri to its portfolio, expanding the group’s presence in West Bengal. The hotel, branded as Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Siliguri, will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited. Operations are scheduled to begin in the financial year 2028-29.

Located approximately 18 kilometers from Bagdogra Airport and just 3 kilometers from Siliguri Railway Station, the upcoming hotel will be strategically placed to serve both business and leisure travelers. The property's convenient access to public and private transportation networks ensures strong connectivity within the city and to nearby destinations.

The 63-room hotel will feature a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet facilities, recreational spaces, and other public amenities, reflecting the brand’s focus on providing efficient, value-driven hospitality with thoughtful services. The expansion is aligned with Lemon Tree’s larger goal of capturing market share in high-potential regional cities across India.

Siliguri is a thriving commercial hub often called the “Gateway to the Northeast,” due to its crucial role as a transport and logistics center. The city also serves as a tourism base for hill stations like Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Gangtok. Surrounded by tea estates and located near the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, Siliguri continues to attract tourists, corporates, and transit travelers alike, making it an ideal location for Lemon Tree's mid-scale hospitality offering.

Commenting on the signing, Mr. Vilas Pawar, CEO – Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, expressed enthusiasm about strengthening the brand’s presence in West Bengal. The new hotel complements two operational properties in the state and three more currently under development, underscoring the group’s commitment to enhancing hospitality infrastructure across key Indian cities.
