Lemon Tree Hotels signs a new property in Garudeshwar, strengthening its Gujarat footprint
Lemon Tree Hotels has expanded its presence in Gujarat with the signing of Lemon Tree Hotel, Garudeshwar, adding another project in a market shaped by tourism and pilgrimage travel. With this addition, the company will have 32 properties in Gujarat, including 11 operational hotels and 21 upcoming developments. The new signing reflects the group’s continued focus on destinations benefiting from rising visitor flows and improving regional connectivity. It also underlines the growing hospitality relevance of Garudeshwar within the state’s wider travel ecosystem.
The upcoming hotel will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels. According to the release, the property will feature 90 well-appointed rooms, along with a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting room, and recreational facilities including a swimming pool, spa and fitness centre. This combination positions the project as a full-service hospitality offering aimed at both leisure and event-related demand. In practical terms, the hotel is being designed to meet the needs of travellers seeking branded accommodation in an emerging destination.
The signing also reflects the wider momentum behind Gujarat tourism. The release links the state’s growth to major attractions such as the Statue of Unity, as well as increasing interest in spiritual and cultural travel. Within that landscape, Garudeshwar is being presented as an increasingly important destination, supported by its proximity to key attractions and by improving infrastructure that is helping drive a steady flow of visitors. Accessibility is also part of the project’s appeal, with Vadodara International Airport located about 85 kilometres away and Ekta Nagar Railway Station around 5 kilometres from the property.
For Lemon Tree Hotels, the new signing fits into a broader strategy of building scale across destinations where tourism and pilgrimage circuits are generating sustained demand for quality branded hospitality. Neelendra Singh linked the project to the company’s focus on strengthening its presence in locations that are becoming more important within India’s expanding travel landscape. As a result, Lemon Tree Hotel, Garudeshwar is not just another addition to the pipeline, but part of a wider push to create a more connected and diversified portfolio across India’s evolving destination map.
