Marriott highlights major global signings in Q2 2026
Marriott International recorded significant development activity during the second quarter of 2026, signing agreements across luxury, premium, lifestyle and midscale segments. Projects announced during the period span Saudi Arabia, Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Greater China. The agreements range from individual luxury resorts to large multi-property portfolios. Together, they demonstrate Marriott's continued focus on expanding across both established destinations and high-growth hospitality markets.
Among the largest agreements was a deal with Blacksand for 10 hotels and more than 1,300 rooms in Saudi Arabia. In Europe, Marriott signed Seegut am Tegernsee, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, a 119-key development planned for Germany's Lake Tegernsee in 2029.
In North America, Design Hotels secured agreements covering 18 Palisociety-operated hotels with more than 1,000 rooms, while Trailborn Jackson Hole joined the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy.
Asia-Pacific signings included the planned JW Marriott Hotel Kathmandu, introducing the brand to Nepal, and Le Méridien Lindeman Island in Australia's Whitsundays.
City Express by Marriott continued expanding in Latin America with projects in Brazil and the Dominican Republic. In Greater China, new agreements included Four Points by Sheraton Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley and a dual-branded AC Hotels by Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton development in Beijing's Chaoyang District.
The geographic and brand diversity of these agreements reflects Marriott's global development strategy, combining luxury expansion with lifestyle, collection and midscale growth across markets with different demand profiles.
