Radisson accelerates European growth with new flagships
Radisson Hotel Group is reinforcing its position as a leader in European hospitality with a bold expansion plan following a record-breaking year in 2024. The group began 2025 by reopening the Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin, and announcing a strong pipeline of new projects across key European markets. With plans to add over 37,000 rooms through upcoming signings, Radisson’s momentum spans not only Europe but also the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
A highlight of the group’s European resurgence is the reopening of the Radisson Collection Hotel in Berlin. Located in the city's Mitte district, the property has been entirely transformed after a significant incident in 2022. The revamped hotel now features a remarkable lobby centerpiece—the “Living Tree”—and has become a new landmark for luxury hospitality in the German capital. This is just one of many flagship properties supporting Radisson’s focus on driving tourism and urban development across the continent.
Germany remains a strategic market for Radisson, as evidenced by recent signings and renovations. The group announced the signing of three Radisson Individuals hotels: HARBR. Hotel Heilbronn, HARBR. Hotel Konstanz, and HARBR. Hotel Ludwigsburg, adding 314 rooms to its portfolio. This expansion brings Radisson’s footprint in Germany to 64 hotels in operation and development, representing nine brands and nearly 15,000 rooms.
Additional German developments include a new Radisson RED in Berlin and a Radisson hotel in Krefeld, as well as the upcoming opening of a Prize by Radisson in Osnabrück. Across Europe, Radisson continues its brand diversification strategy by signing properties in tier-1 cities and secondary destinations alike. In Norway, four new hotels—including the first Radisson Individuals and Prize by Radisson properties in the Nordics—are set to open this year, adding 519 rooms near Bergen.
In the UK, the group unveiled the Medlock Hotel, a 400-room property located at the Etihad Campus in Manchester, and a Prize by Radisson in Glasgow. Radisson also announced a 180-room property in Oxford, at the future home of the UK’s first all-electric football stadium.
Southern Europe is also seeing considerable activity. Radisson’s Iberian portfolio now includes Radisson RED Malaga, Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife, and Radisson Collection Madrid. In Portugal, Radisson RED Porto Gaia and the refurbished Radisson Blu Lisbon further strengthen the brand’s regional presence.
France continues to play a key role in Radisson’s European growth with two flagship developments underway in Paris—Maison Rivoli Paris, a Radisson Collection hotel, and the Radisson Blu Hotel Paris Porte de Versailles. Le Relais de La Malmaison, a newly opened Radisson Individuals hotel, adds a tranquil retreat near the capital.
The group’s global reach extends beyond Europe. In the Middle East, new Park Inn by Radisson hotels are coming to Madinah, Saudi Arabia, while Radisson RED Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, will introduce 285 rooms and creative event spaces. In Asia Pacific, the group continues rapid growth with new signings in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. In India, Radisson is approaching a milestone of 200 hotels, recently announcing new properties in Bengaluru, Ludhiana, and Jaipur.
With owner loyalty at an all-time high—65% of partners holding more than one property—Radisson Hotel Group is poised for another record year in 2025. Its flexible brand architecture and proven expertise in conversions and new builds continue to attract developers seeking long-term value in hospitality.
