Originally opened in 1995 as Vienna’s first design hotel, the building’s past dates back even further—it once served as a post station on the route between Vienna and Trieste during the Austrian Empire. With the 2025 renovation, Radisson Blu has preserved the architectural spirit of the original property while introducing elevated amenities, updated interiors, and renewed public spaces to reflect the brand’s signature global standards.

The hotel offers 120 rooms and suites, where natural light, minimalist design, and high-quality materials create a tranquil yet stylish retreat. Select rooms feature private terraces with views toward Stephansdom or across the city’s historic rooftops, while all accommodations balance aesthetic clarity with comfort, catering to both leisure and business travelers.

A highlight of the hotel’s relaunch is the debut of Bistrot Bertarelli 1894, a refined dining venue honoring Italian travel pioneer Luigi Vittorio Bertarelli. Serving a menu that blends classic Italian cuisine with contemporary innovation, it is poised to become a gastronomic destination in Vienna. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining on Rilkeplatz, surrounded by the neighborhood's historic charm.

Returning as a social hub is the legendary Silver Bar, known for attracting artists, celebrities, and visionaries. With its extension into the hotel’s serene inner courtyard during the warmer months, it creates a hidden oasis perfect for afternoon coffee or evening cocktails.

Further amenities include a modern fitness center, a relaxing sauna, a tranquil courtyard, and a rooftop terrace with sweeping city views. Business travelers can take advantage of five versatile conference rooms, accommodating up to 284 guests, making the property ideal for upscale meetings and events.

Guided by General Manager Elisabeth Boyer, the reopening of Radisson Blu Das Triest Hotel, Vienna offers a compelling experience at the intersection of heritage, hospitality, and design, inviting guests to rediscover the layers of the city through a distinctly refined lens.
