Radisson Hotel Group has opened Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel, Manchester, a new 401-room upper-upscale hotel at the heart of Medlock Square on Manchester's Etihad Campus. The property welcomed its first guests on 7 September 2026 and represents the first development by Manchester City Football Club in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group. Located directly beside the Etihad Stadium and Co-op Live, the hotel has been positioned for sports fans, concertgoers, business travellers and groups attending major events. Its arrival also marks the first completed development within the wider Medlock Square destination.

The hotel takes its name from the River Medlock, which runs beneath the Etihad Campus. Its design draws on Manchester's industrial heritage while incorporating contemporary interiors, warm materials and locally influenced details intended to reflect the city's character.

Location is a major part of the property's appeal. Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel, Manchester sits immediately alongside the Etihad Stadium and Co-op Live, the UK's largest indoor arena, creating direct access to major football matches, concerts and entertainment events.

A nearby Metrolink stop connects the hotel with Manchester city centre in approximately 10 minutes. The centre can also be reached in around five minutes by car, while Manchester Airport is approximately 20 minutes away by road or around 40 minutes by public transport.

The hotel offers 401 guestrooms and suites, ranging from Standard, Premium and Deluxe Rooms to One-Bedroom Suites. One of the most distinctive accommodation categories is the Pitch View Room, which provides views over the Etihad Stadium and can be converted into hospitality suites on matchdays.

At the top of the accommodation offer is a two-storey, two-bedroom Penthouse measuring 153 square metres. The suite includes two bathrooms, a 25-square-metre private terrace, panoramic views across Manchester and a dedicated private arrival experience.

Food and beverage is spread across several venues. Three Rivers Brasserie & Bar operates as the hotel's all-day dining restaurant, while Blend Café Bar provides coffee, drinks and light bites.

The hotel also includes Little Beast Restaurant, while additional concepts are scheduled to launch later in 2026. These will include Brickworks Market Hall and Zadie's Sky Bar, with the latter offering Pan-Asian dining and drinks alongside panoramic views across the Etihad Campus and Manchester skyline.

Wellness facilities include a 24-hour fitness suite equipped with virtual personal training technology, allowing guests to exercise at any time during their stay.

Meetings and events represent another important part of the hotel's positioning. Guests have access to more than 30 flexible event spaces across the Etihad Campus, creating options for conferences, corporate hospitality, exhibitions, incentive travel and large-scale gatherings.

Within Medlock Square itself, an outdoor activation space will accommodate up to 3,000 guests, while the hotel's Penthouse can be used for private celebrations and executive gatherings for up to 50 people.

The wider Medlock Square development is scheduled to introduce additional restaurants, bars and cafés, as well as a new immersive Manchester City museum experience, stadium roof walk and zip-wire.

Plans also include a covered 3,000-capacity events space for seasonal activities, live shows, sports screenings and brand events, further strengthening the Etihad Campus as a year-round entertainment destination.

According to Joep Peeters, Chief Operating Officer Franchise EMEA at Radisson Hotel Group, the hotel is intended to serve a broad mix of visitors coming to Manchester for football, concerts, conferences and leisure travel.

General Manager Richard Pearson will oversee the property as it establishes its position within the city's growing sports, entertainment and business tourism market.

With 401 rooms, direct access to two of Manchester's most important entertainment venues and substantial event infrastructure across the surrounding campus, Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel, Manchester becomes a major new hospitality anchor for Medlock Square and the wider Etihad Campus.
