The opening of Radisson Blu Hotel Nanjing South New Town places the brand in one of Nanjing’s most important urban development areas. South New Town is being developed as a new core urban centre focused on high-end business and global exchange. Its rising business profile and growing role as a platform for international communication make it a strategic location for a flagship hotel.

The property is located within the Sino-Finnish Cooperation and Exchange Center, in the core area of South New Town. The wider urban complex integrates exhibition, office and exchange functions and is guided by principles of openness, low-carbon development and sustainability. This setting gives the hotel a strong connection to the district’s role as a modern platform linking Nanjing with the world.

The hotel was invested in and constructed by Nanjing South New Town Development and Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary, Nanjing South New Town Exhibition Center Development Co., Ltd. Its location near several major rail transit lines offers convenient access to commercial districts and transportation hubs, supporting both business and leisure travel.

Accommodation at Radisson Blu Hotel Nanjing South New Town includes 300 guestrooms and suites. The room design draws inspiration from Dajiaochang’s century-old aviation heritage and the cultural imagery of Nanjing, translating these references into a modern hospitality environment. Selected rooms offer views of the Xiangshui River, urban cultural landmarks and the skyline of South New Town.

Meetings and events are a major part of the hotel’s positioning. The property offers approximately 4,300 square metres of versatile meeting and banquet space, including three spacious pillarless main ballrooms measuring 1,400 square metres, 1,650 square metres and 570 square metres. It also includes nine flexible multifunctional halls, giving the hotel capacity for international conferences, high-level forums, corporate annual meetings and large-scale banquets.

The hotel’s food and beverage offer includes four dining and social venues. Aurora All-Day Dining Restaurant presents Nanjing’s local character through a modern design approach and a breakfast menu infused with local flavours. Ling Yun Chinese Restaurant specialises in Huaiyang cuisine and fusion dishes, with 16 private dining rooms for business dining and social gatherings.

Additional social spaces include Kuksa Lobby Lounge, named after the traditional Finnish wooden cup, and the approximately 4,000-square-metre Rock Terrace. These venues expand the hotel’s role as a place for meetings, networking, events and informal social occasions. Together, the dining and social spaces support the hotel’s wider positioning as a business and lifestyle hub within South New Town.

Wellness facilities are also integrated into the guest experience. Radisson Blu Hotel Nanjing South New Town includes a well-equipped Fitness Center, an indoor temperature-controlled Swimming Pool and a Spa Center. These amenities are designed to help frequent business travellers stay refreshed, active and energised during their stay.

The announcement names Mao Xiao, Chief Executive Officer of Jin Jiang Radisson Hotels, and Zhou Zhenguo, General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel Nanjing South New Town, as key figures connected to the opening. Their comments position the hotel as a meeting point between Nanjing’s history and innovation, with aviation-themed design, local culture and contemporary aesthetics shaping the guest experience.

With its opening, Radisson Blu Hotel Nanjing South New Town enhances the district’s business travel and MICE infrastructure while supporting its development as an international urban centre. The hotel brings together strategic location, event capacity, local design references, global service standards and wellness amenities, creating a new gateway for guests visiting Nanjing for conferences, business exchanges or cultural discovery.
