Radisson Debuts in Armenia with Hotel & Spa in Gyumri
Radisson Hotel Group has officially introduced its flagship Radisson brand to Armenia with the opening of Radisson Hotel & Spa Gyumri, located in the country’s second-largest city and cultural heart, Gyumri. This marks a significant milestone in the Group’s expansion across the Caucasus and Central Asia.
Strategically positioned next to Gyumri’s central square, the hotel features 64 bright and functional rooms in the brand’s signature Scandinavian-inspired style. Guests can expect a balance of comfort, simplicity, and efficiency for both leisure and business stays.
A highlight of the property is the Alexandra Spa Center, a historically protected building from the 1880s, known throughout the region for its wellness facilities. The spa includes hammams, saunas, pools, Jacuzzis, and a full range of treatments delivered by skilled therapists—preserving its legacy as a cornerstone of health and relaxation in the Caucasus.
The hotel also offers versatile meeting and event spaces, catering to corporate functions and private celebrations, further positioning the property as a key player in Gyumri’s growing hospitality and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors.
This opening strengthens Radisson Hotel Group’s regional footprint, joining the already established Radisson Blu Hotel in Yerevan. It brings the Group’s presence in the Caucasus and Central Asia to 17 hotels in operation or development.
Developed in partnership with Alecpol Projects Management LLC, the property represents a successful transformation of the former Shiraz Plaza Hotel & Spa into a globally branded hotel that aims to enhance Gyumri’s profile as a premier cultural and wellness destination.
