Radisson Hotel Group Accelerates Expansion in Saudi Arabia Ahead of FHS 2025
As Radisson Hotel Group prepares for its participation in the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) 2025 in Riyadh, the global hotel giant has reaffirmed its strong commitment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region. With nearly 100 hotels currently in operation or under development across the region, the Group is on track to hit its target of 150 properties by 2030, firmly aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.
In Saudi Arabia alone, Radisson Hotel Group has established a significant presence with 47 properties either open or under development, accounting for almost half of its Middle East portfolio. This strategic emphasis underscores the Group’s focus on religious, leisure, and business tourism across the Kingdom’s key cities.
Recent milestones include the debut of the Radisson Hotel Madinah, the Group’s first property in the holy city, and the launch of the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre, Riyadh Minhal, a major hospitality addition to the Saudi capital. Upcoming 2025 openings further solidify the Group’s local ambitions, with the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Al Sahafa and Radisson Hotel Jeddah Tahlia Street expected in Q2, followed by Radisson Collection Residence, Riyadh and Radisson Hotel & Residences, Makkah Thakher City in Q4.
In line with its growth strategy, Radisson has also expanded local partnerships, including a key agreement with Knowledge Economic City (KEC) for a new Park Inn by Radisson in Madinah’s Islamic World District. Additionally, the Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Tourism Authority at Arabian Travel Market (ATM), reinforcing its commitment to supporting national tourism development initiatives.
According to Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Global Chief Development Officer of Radisson Hotel Group, Saudi Arabia is one of the Group’s most strategic markets. He emphasized the importance of tailored hospitality solutions and long-term partnerships to help shape a sustainable future for the region's tourism industry.
Following a record-setting 2024, Radisson aims to continue this trajectory with focused brand strategies and strong operational performance, helping to drive tourism growth and economic diversification in Saudi Arabia.
