Radisson RED Resort Cebu Mactan to open in 2028 with 141 keys
Radisson Hotel Group has signed Radisson RED Resort Cebu Mactan, strengthening its development momentum in the Philippines ahead of a planned 2028 opening. The resort will be located in Mactan, positioned as both a business hub and one of Cebu’s best-known tourism islands for prime beaches. With a highly visible site and fast access from the airport, the project targets both domestic and international leisure demand. The signing also adds weight to the group’s broader pipeline in the country.
Planned to open with 141 keys, the property will include five suites, one Presidential Suite, and two villas, with most rooms designed to capture direct sea views. Connectivity is a central part of the proposition: the site is approximately 10 km from Mactan-Cebu International Airport and about 200 metres from the M.L. Quezon National Highway, supporting quick transfers and straightforward access for guests arriving for short breaks or longer stays.
The amenities mix is being built to match the brand’s high-energy positioning. Planned facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar, a rooftop bar and pool, meeting and events space, and fitness and leisure amenities. The concept aligns with Radisson RED’s design-led approach, which emphasizes bold interiors, playful details, and social public areas intended to feel more like local hangouts than conventional hotel spaces.
The location also supports experience-led itineraries beyond the resort itself. Guests will be within reach of Olango Island and its 920-hectare wildlife sanctuary, known for migratory birdwatching, as well as popular island-hopping and marine excursions to Nalusuan, Pandanon, Cohagan, and Hilutungan Islands. The nearby Mactan Shrine, commemorating the historic Battle of Mactan, adds another cultural landmark to the area’s visitor appeal.
