The 2025 report positions Radisson Hotel Group’s responsible business agenda as a central part of its competitiveness and value creation. In an operating environment shaped by changing guest expectations, climate risk and growing regulatory requirements, the company is using sustainability as a strategic guide for hotel operations and owner support. The report sets out how this approach is being implemented through a structured five-year plan focused on energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energy and responsible resource use.

A central milestone in 2025 was the launch of the group’s first Verified Net Zero hotels. The initiative is designed as a practical and scalable model for reducing emissions across both existing and new properties. According to the report, these hotels show that meaningful decarbonisation can be achieved within operational hotel environments while maintaining guest experience and operational standards.

The first Verified Net Zero Hotels opened in Manchester City Centre and Oslo City Centre. Their role is significant because they demonstrate how hotels can operate with significantly reduced carbon emissions across scopes 1, 2 and 3. For the wider hospitality industry, this offers a working example of how hotel decarbonisation can move from ambition to implementation within active urban hotel assets.

Under the Think Planet pillar, Radisson Hotel Group reported a 23 percent reduction in emissions intensity per square metre compared with the 2019 baseline. The group also recorded a 6 percent reduction in total Scope 1 and 2 emissions versus 2019, while its portfolio grew by 20 percent. In addition, 78 hotels are now operating on 100 percent renewable electricity, with the company aiming to continue expanding renewable energy sourcing across its network.

The Think People section of the report focuses on talent development, well-being and inclusive career growth across a global team of more than 75,000 team members in over 100 countries. Radisson Hotel Group reported an 84 percent team member engagement score, outperforming the industry average by 18 percent. Women represented 31 percent of leadership positions, while 206 hotels were certified by Safehotels, strengthening safety and security for guests and teams.

Employee support and career progression also form an important part of the report. The Radisson People Foundation, launched in 2024 to support team members in times of need, assisted more than 250 team members globally. The group’s Radisson Academy delivered more than 8.5 million learning hours, while 40 percent of job openings were filled internally, reflecting a continued focus on development and internal mobility.

The Think Community pillar highlights the company’s work across communities and the wider value chain. Through its partnership with Just a Drop, Radisson Hotel Group has helped provide access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene for more than 34,000 people. In 2025, the group also contributed €890,000 in cash and in-kind donations globally, while hotel and corporate teams delivered 79,000 volunteer hours.

Responsible sourcing is another element of the report. Radisson Hotel Group received an EcoVadis Silver Medal, with 76 percent of global suppliers assessed. This supports the group’s wider commitment to ethical, inclusive and responsible business practices across its supply chain.

The 2025 report is also notable for its reporting framework. It is the group’s first Responsible Business Report aligned with the European Union’s Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs, using a double materiality approach to identify and manage environmental, social and governance impacts, risks and opportunities. For Radisson Hotel Group, this strengthens transparency and accountability while connecting responsible business performance with long-term sustainable hospitality growth.
