Simon Casson to step down as Corinthia Hotels CEO in April 2026
Corinthia Hotels Limited has announced that Simon Casson will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer at his request, concluding two years in the position during a period of strategic growth and brand development. The company says Casson helped strengthen leadership and operational structures while advancing key openings and partnerships. The change is positioned as a planned transition agreed following discussions with the Board of Directors. Casson will remain involved with the business in an advisory capacity from April 2026.
During his tenure, Simon Casson was credited with expanding the executive team and reinforcing the Corinthia brand narrative, alongside progress on major hotel openings and partnerships. The announcement frames these contributions as central to the company’s recent evolution, particularly in how it has sharpened leadership capacity and built a platform for continued expansion.
From April 2026, Casson will take on the role of Senior Strategic Advisor to Corinthia Group CEO Simon Naudi and the Board of Directors. In this capacity, he is expected to continue supporting the group’s long-term strategic priorities and future growth initiatives, allowing continuity on major strategic themes while separating day-to-day leadership from advisory support.
The Board of Directors expressed gratitude for Casson’s leadership and contributions and noted it looks forward to his ongoing involvement as the company moves into its next chapter. The update signals a leadership shift while maintaining strategic alignment, with the advisory role designed to keep institutional knowledge and momentum in place as Corinthia progresses its broader growth agenda.
