Sonesta Expands Presence in Latin America with Opening of Sonesta Hotel Miraflores in Lima, Peru
Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Sonesta) has announced the opening of the Sonesta Hotel Miraflores in Lima, Peru, in partnership with GHL Hoteles, strengthening the brand’s growing footprint in Latin America. The 133-room upscale property becomes Sonesta’s second hotel in Lima, offering guests a modern and comfortable stay in the heart of the city’s bustling Miraflores district, within walking distance of Kennedy Park, Love Park, and the city’s premier shopping and dining venues.
The new hotel showcases Sonesta’s refreshed brand identity, including the artistic installation known as the Tapestry of Self Portrait, which reflects the unique cultural and historical character of each Sonesta property. The concept highlights the brand’s commitment to connecting travelers with the essence of local communities through thoughtful design and storytelling. Operated by GHL Hoteles, a trusted Latin American hotel management company with over six decades of experience, the opening follows the renewal of a long-term master franchise agreement extending through 2034, covering Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Argentina.
Guests of Sonesta Hotel Miraflores will enjoy pet-friendly accommodations, oversized rooms, and a range of upscale amenities including a buffet breakfast, an on-site restaurant, and a fitness center.
