A new TRIBE hotel is coming to Rostock, bringing its distinctive design-forward concept to the shores of the Baltic Sea. Scheduled to open by late 2028, the TRIBE Rostock will be developed through a collaboration between Accor, global hospitality leader, and the tristar Hotelgruppe, a renowned white-label hotel operator in the DACH region. The project is backed by NEXT Generation Invest AG and will form part of the 30,000 sqm “Kesselborn” district redevelopment near Rostock’s main train station.

Founded in Australia in 2017, TRIBE is an emerging hospitality brand that focuses on style, efficiency, and functionality, appealing to modern travelers in urban hubs. With over 20 operating hotels and 30+ in the pipeline, the brand is rapidly growing across Europe and beyond, with sites in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Perth, Budapest, and Düsseldorf.

The TRIBE Rostock will feature 157 rooms, with interior concepts inspired by bold, contemporary aesthetics tailored to the local urban context. Its dynamic Social Hub will serve as the centerpiece—an adaptable space designed for working, relaxing, or socializing, offering an all-day breakfast zone, premium coffee and cocktail bar, Grab&Go food options, and a relaxed restaurant. A rooftop bar overlooking Rostock’s skyline and the Baltic Sea promises to be a standout highlight of the hotel.

To cater to business travelers, the hotel will offer comprehensive MICE facilities, including eight meeting rooms and a 450 sqm auditorium on the 14th floor, alongside a fitness and sauna area for wellness-focused guests.

Thiemo Willms, Vice President Development Premium, Midscale & Economy DACH at Accor, emphasized the brand’s momentum in the region, with two successful German openings in one year and four more projects underway, including a debut in Austria.

The project will be managed by tristar Hotelgruppe, which already operates seven Accor properties under brands such as greet, ibis, and Mercure. Jochen Weishaupt, Managing Director Development & Sales at tristar, highlighted Rostock’s appeal as a cultural, academic, and coastal destination, calling it a natural fit for a “bold and up-and-coming brand like TRIBE.”

NEXT Generation Invest AG, based in Frankfurt, is the project's investment partner. Known for its ESG-aligned investment strategy, the company sees TRIBE Rostock as a socially and environmentally impactful project. Samuel Keil, Director at the firm, stated that the hotel will enhance Rostock’s hospitality landscape while prioritizing social engagement and design excellence.

TRIBE Rostock is positioned to become a landmark hospitality destination in the city, attracting both international travelers and local urbanites, while setting a new benchmark for design-driven hotel experiences in northern Germany.
