voco Expands in Bangkok with New 350-Key Hotel Set for 2029
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of voco Bangkok Siam, a 350-key new-build property that will open in 2029 in partnership with SCX Corporation Company Limited, a subsidiary of SC Asset Public Company Limited. Located on Phayathai Road in central Bangkok, the hotel will rise 28 floors and sit opposite Siam Discovery Shopping Center, within walking distance of Siam Paragon, Siam Square, MBK Center, and the BTS Siam station.
As IHG’s fastest-growing premium brand, voco brings its distinctive blend of character and comfort to one of Asia’s most dynamic cities. Guests at voco Bangkok Siam will experience the brand’s signature warm welcome, streamlined check-in, locally inspired treats, and well-appointed rooms designed for relaxation. The property will feature a restaurant and bar, fitness center, rooftop pool with skyline views, and meeting facilities, all positioned to capture both leisure and business demand in Bangkok’s bustling heart.
The opening reflects Bangkok’s continued strength as a global tourism hub, welcoming 32.4 million international arrivals in 2024. With voco Bangkok Siam, IHG builds on its existing 40 hotels across nine brands in Thailand, including award-winning properties in luxury, lifestyle, and mainstream segments. For SC Asset, the project represents a strategic expansion of its recurring income business while enhancing Bangkok’s hospitality landscape.
Launched in 2018, voco has grown rapidly to over 100 open hotels across 25 countries, with more than 100 additional properties in the pipeline. Its debut in Thailand begins with voco Bangkok Surawong later this year, followed by voco Bangkok Siam in 2029, further strengthening IHG’s premium portfolio across Southeast Asia.
