IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened voco Times Square - Broadway, the largest voco hotels property in the Americas, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The new hotel has 419 guest rooms across 32 stories and expands the brand’s presence in New York, following the opening of voco Astoria and joining two existing voco hotels in the city. The opening also carries planning significance, as IHG describes the project as one of the final new-build hotels approved in the Times Square area. With this launch, voco continues to build momentum after passing the 100-hotel milestone globally.

The property is positioned at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and West 48th Street, giving guests direct access to Times Square and convenient proximity to Radio City Music Hall, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Empire State Building. For the local market, the hotel adds a new premium option in one of the city’s highest-traffic districts, designed to appeal to both visitors and event-driven demand. IHG is also emphasizing the hotel’s rooftop proposition, describing it as the only hotel rooftop in Times Square with unobstructed panoramic skyline views.

Inside, voco Times Square - Broadway follows a design concept inspired by New York City’s Prohibition-era speakeasies and Jazz Age atmosphere. The lobby combines plush seating, warm lighting, and vintage-inspired details, while guestrooms and suites pair period-inspired styling with contemporary comfort and a calmer visual palette. This design direction aligns with the voco brand’s broader positioning, which blends the scale and reassurance of a larger hotel with the more relaxed feel of an individual property.

A major guest-facing highlight is the 2,400 sq. ft. indoor/outdoor rooftop space, developed as a flexible venue for private events, group functions, and social gatherings. The hotel’s signature The Velvet Fox bar and lounge adds another lifestyle-focused layer, with handcrafted cocktails, small plates, and live music. In the opening announcement, Ginger Taggart also underlined the brand’s wider expansion momentum, noting that voco now has 124 hotels open globally and 108 more in the pipeline as of December 31, 2025.
