The signing of Gateway Resort Colva Beach Road, Goa reflects IHCL’s continued commitment to expanding across the state. Goa has been part of the company’s brandscape for more than five decades, and the new resort adds another full-service property to its portfolio in the destination. The project also reinforces the role of Gateway as a brand designed to connect travellers with exceptional destinations.

The upcoming resort will be set across 2.9 acres and will offer views of Colva Beach. Its South Goa location gives the property access to one of the state’s well-known coastal settings, while positioning it for leisure travellers, families, social groups and event-led demand. As a greenfield development, the project gives IHCL and its partner the opportunity to create a resort experience aligned with the current expectations of domestic and international guests.

The resort will include 175 keys and a range of dining options. Planned food and beverage facilities include an all-day diner, a specialty restaurant and a bar. These venues are expected to serve both staying guests and visitors using the resort for events, celebrations and social occasions.

Leisure and wellness facilities will also be part of the development. Guests will have access to a swimming pool, fitness centre and treatment rooms, allowing the resort to offer a more complete stay experience. These amenities support the property’s positioning as a relaxed coastal resort rather than only a room-led hotel.

Events will be a major part of the resort’s offer. Gateway Resort Colva Beach Road, Goa will feature a ballroom of approximately 7,000 square feet, supported by outdoor lawns. This combination positions the property for weddings, social gatherings, corporate events and destination celebrations in South Goa.

The announcement names Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate and Development at IHCL, as a key figure behind the signing. Her comments frame Goa as one of India’s most sought-after leisure destinations and link the project to IHCL’s long-term strategy of strengthening its footprint across the state.

The ownership partner, Dempo Business House, is one of Goa’s leading corporate groups, with modern-era operations dating back to 1941. The group has diversified interests across sectors including calcined petroleum coke production and export, shipbuilding and repair, newspaper publishing and media, pig iron manufacturing, baby foods, real estate development, renewable energy, travel services and mining. Mr. Shrinivas V. Dempo, Chairman of Dempo Group, is named in the release and connects the project to Goa’s coastline, tourism appeal and continued ability to attract travellers from India and abroad.

Goa remains one of India’s premier tourism destinations, known for scenic beaches, historic architecture, culinary traditions and cultural heritage. With Gateway Resort Colva Beach Road, Goa, IHCL is expanding its role in Goa hospitality, leisure travel, destination weddings, resort development and full-service branded accommodation in one of the country’s strongest coastal markets.
